Officers were dispatched to a shooting Friday, July 4th around 6:30 PM in the vicinity of Zuni Rd. and San Pablo St. S.E. Upon officer’s arrival, they located a male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition.

Detectives were notified overnight that the victim died as a result of his wounds. Homicide detectives are now investigating the shooting circumstances.
