Man Dumped After Shooting in South Valley, BCSO Investigation Underway

Albuquerque –

Around 4:05 PM, deputies from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the area of 2nd St SW and Desert Rd SW.

Upon their arrival, they located one person with at least one gunshot wound. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

BCSO was searching for a vehicle possibly involved in the shooting and notified other law enforcement agencies about the car. The car reportedly dumped the man at this location.

Homicide detectives from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office are being called out to investigate.

UPDATE:

BCSO has identified the person killed as 65-year-old Michael Adams.

In the press released issued by BCSO they state “This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are actively working the case, and no additional information is available at this time.”
