UPDATE:

On September 11th just after 1PM Albuquerque Ambulance called to report that they had rolled up on a deceased male in a car near the intersection of San Pedro and Central SE.  Apparently a person was driving a male to a hospital in a private vehicle after he had been shot. The man who was shot, had apparently been shot somewhere near the International War Zone District Library according to a witness.  The person driving the private vehicle flagged down the ambulance for help but the ambulance personnel discovered the man in the back of the car was already dead of a gunshot wound.

APD Detectives and the Major Crime Scene Team personnel were responding to take over the investigation.

This is an on-going investigation.  We will update this story if we learn more information.

This is the 88th homicide of 2024 for the Albuquerque Metro area.
