Today, Kevin McKinney entered a no-contest plea today to charges of second-degree murder, shooting at or from a motor vehicle, and felon in possession of a firearm. McKinney fatally shot a person outside an Albuquerque apartment complex on August 20, 2022, following a dispute during an attempted gun sale. As part of the plea agreement, McKinney will serve a 25-year prison sentence followed by five years of supervised probation.

Also, a judge has ordered Dominic Ayon to remain in custody as his case progresses through the legal system. Authorities allege that Ayon caused thousands of dollars in damage last week by breaking windows and doors at several local businesses.
