Albuquerque –
Around 10:15AM, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department responded to 701 Wagner Dr. SE, which is the Maverik Gas Station near Broadway Blvd. in the South Valley, to reports of a woman with a gunshot wound. The woman drove to the gas station with the gunshot wound after a domestic incident with a man.
When BCSO deputies arrived, they found an adult female with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. A 4-year-old was in the vehicle when the woman was shot. The woman was taken to a local hospital with her condition is currently unknown. The child was unharmed in the incident.
At the same time, the Albuquerque Police Department was investigating a shots fired call near 98th and Gibson Blvd. SW that was related to this incident. APD was investigating a domestic situation that was a result of this shots fired call.
BCSO, New Mexico State Police, and APD are currently looking for the offender.
