Man Shot and Killed Near Walter St and Coal Ave SE

Albuquerque –

Around 3PM, APD officers from the Valley area command responded to a shots fired call. When they arrived on scene, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound.

Ambulance personnel transported the victim to UNMH. APD told us the victim died on the way to the hospital.

While on scene, we saw APD investigating the scene and clearing a building on the corner of Walter and Coal Ave. They were questioning two individuals outside the building about what happened.

APD Homicide detectives are now investigating Albuquerque’s 51st homicide of 2024.
