Around 9:30 PM on Saturday, December 20, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were dispatched to an apartment complex at at 12021 Skyline Rd. NE for a reported stabbing. Albuquerque Fire Rescue’s radio transmissions reported that a person was unconscious and had been “impaled.”

Upon officer’s arrival, they located an adult male who had been stabbed during a domestic dispute inside an apartment. AFR’s Rescue 12 transported the person stabbed to UNMH where they later died.

APD’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were called out to investigate.

Additional information will be released once it is provided by the Albuquerque Police Department.

This marks the fifth homicide investigation in December and the second within roughly 24 hours—one investigated by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and one by the Albuquerque Police Department. It is the 114th homicide of 2025.
