Albuquerque –
On Wednesday, April 16, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Elena Gallegos Trail for a person experiencing a medical event. AFR crews were sent with the hope of resuscitating and assisting an individual in medical crisis on the trail.
AFR arrived at the patient’s location at approximately 6:40 PM.
According to reports, the individual was in cardiac arrest. At least two bystanders were already performing CPR and doing everything they could to help before emergency responders arrived. Despite these efforts, the individual was reportedly pronounced dead just before 7:00 PM by an EMS physician on scene.
