On 9:25pm on 03/13/24, APD’s civilian PIO Gilbert Gallegos sent an email on this crash that said:

“APD investigators responded this afternoon to a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle that resulted serious injuries to the motorcyclist.

The Fatal Crash Unit discovered through investigation that northbound traffic on San Pedro Dr. at Zuni Rd. was stopped for a red light. A Gold Nissan Armada was stopped on westbound Bell at a stop sign with San Pedro. The Nissan driver believed the lanes to be clear and went forward west through San Pedro. A black Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling southbound on San Pedro then struck into the passenger side of the Armada. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and then collided with a parked blue Mercury sedan.

The motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital for a severe brain injury.”
