Around 1:10 PM, the New Mexico State Police announced on X that NMSP officers were involved in an officer involved shooting (OIS) at 11600 Academy Road NE, which is the Pavilions Apartments.

According to the NMSP, the officer(s) involved are okay, but the suspect is deceased. They also said that the scene is still active.
While on scene, we observed an adult male deceased on the west side of the apartment complex in the open air.
