Person Found Dead Near Los Altos Golf Course, APD Detectives on Scene

Albuquerque –

Detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department are currently investigating a suspicious death at 9109 Copper Ave. NE. Records indicate that the address associated with the ongoing suspicious death investigation is a site of the Los Altos Public Housing Program, operated by the Albuquerque Housing Authority. This address is located west of the of Los Altos Golf Course.

Preliminary but limited information indicates that one person was found dead at the reported location. Additional details will be provided as they become available.

UPDATE:

On Tuesday, August 12, we learned from APD that “Investigators determined the male victim died as a result of a gunshot wound. Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.”
