Police are currently working and investigating two crash scenes in the Albuquerque Metro area.

The first crash occurred near Menaul Blvd NE and Louisiana Blvd NE. A witness reported that a grey SUV had crashed near the Bank of America, which is south of the Chipotle.

Following the crash, a caller reported to 911 that the driver had stopped breathing and was unresponsive. Allegedly, CPR was performed by someone on the scene prior to officers and medics arriving.

When AFR arrived, they attempted to provide medical aid to the injured person. The condition of the individual is unknown.

Due to the severity of the crash, APD’s Motor Unit was called out to investigate. Louisiana southbound is closed between Phoenix Ave NE and Menaul Blvd. Louisiana northbound is closed between Prospect Pl NE and Menaul. Drivers may see other closures as APD investigates.

The second collision happened near Central Ave NW and Coors Blvd NW. Purportedly, at least four vehicles were involved.

Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and crews from Albuquerque Fire and Rescue responded to this scene. At least one patient was transported to UNMH with serious injuries.

Police have southbound Coors closed between Avalon Rd NW (near Dion’s) and Central Ave NW.

If and when we learn more about either crash, we will update this post.
