Person Shot in Westside of Albuquerque Near Walgreens

Albuquerque –

Around 8:05 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department received calls about a shooting near the Walgreens on 10236 Coors Bypass NW, which is on Coors and Ellison Dr/McMahon.

When officers arrived they found a person shot at least once, with one being a leg wound. Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and medics from Albuquerque Fire and Rescue were sent to the listed location. AFR provided aid and transported the victim to UNMH.

A witness told us after the shooting, they saw a male bleeding near the sidewalk of the Walgreen’s parking lot.

APD, Police Services Aides (PSAs), and the New Mexico National Guard will be doing traffic control and perimeter security as police investigate this shooting.
