Albuquerque –
Just before 9:50 AM, a stabbing was reported at 5701 Iliff Rd NW, which is near Iliff and Coors. Per the calling party, an individual was stabbed at least once, and the suspect fled south of the incident location.
When officers arrived, they found a gruesome scene with a significant amount of blood and a person suffering from at least one stab wound. Officers rendered aid until Albuquerque Fire Rescue reached the scene.
AFR then transported the individual to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The person stabbed reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Officers currently have the area taped off while they process evidence and conduct their investigation.
This area has been a crime hotspot, leading the City of Albuquerque to shut down several motels deemed nuisance properties.
