Albuquerque –
Around 7:00 PM, there was an Albuquerque Police Department officer-involved shooting near the old Walgreens at the 5200 block of Central Ave NE, near Central Ave and San Mateo Blvd.
The individual who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have closed roads around the area of Central and San Mateo due to the police activity and investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area. ART lanes will likely be impacted as the area is closed.
The Multi-Agency Task Force is expected to respond and investigate the officer-involved shooting.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the condition of any officers involved.

UPDATE:
APD has stated that no officers were injured during the shooting.
