Albuquerque –
At around 12:45PM today, the Albuquerque Police Department was dispatched to the area of Buena Ventura and Glorieta St NE. in reference to a person shot. APD officers rushed to the area and secured the scene for AFR to get the victim.
The victim was able to give information about the suspect to responding officers and they began to search the area. The neighborhood was on edge as the manhunt for the suspect began. Except for a woman we talked to, who was casually washing her car in her driveway. She told us that she had seen the entire incident unfold. The woman seemed unfazed at the violence that had occurred at first, but then admitted she did run for cover when she heard the shots ring out because she didn’t know how far bullets could travel. Officers quickly set up a large perimeter and found the suspect at a nearby apartment on Glorieta NE near Central. We witnessed officers getting the suspect to surrender peacefully.
The victim of the shooting was transported to UNMH and at last check was in stable condition.
We will update this story, when we learn what charges if any this suspect will face in this incident.
