Person Stabbed and Killed in NW ABQ

Albuquerque –

Around 6:10 PM on May 6, a stabbing was reported in the 1400 block of 7th St NW, which is near 7th Ave NW and Kinley Ave NW. The person stabbed was reportedly knifed in the chest.

When dispatchers notified officers from the Albuquerque Police Department about the incident, they were advised the Albuquerque Fire and Rescue call taker was attempting to give the caller CPR instructions.

When officers from the Valley Area Command and emergency personnel from AFR arrived, they located one victim who was stabbed at least once. The victim reportedly died at the scene.

APD is blocking off 7th Street between Kinley Ave NW and Bellamah Ave NW. APD’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigators are being called to this location.

The alleged offender was also taken into custody.
