On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at around 8:30AM, the Albuquerque Police Department was dispatched to the vicinity of Montessa Park. According to preliminary reports, a city worker found a person who was unresponsive and reportedly bleeding from the mouth.

When APD officers arrived on scene, they learned that the individual was dead from a purported gunshot wound to the head.

APD’s crime scene specialists and homicide detectives are being called out to investigate and document evidence.

  1. Head on crash at Juan Tabo and Grand near Twisters. All people involved have already been removed. A black truck heading north on Juan Tabo struck a silver suv making a left turn onto Grand when struck head on.
