Shooting Leaves One Wounded in SW Albuquerque

Albuquerque –

Around 3PM, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a shooting call near 86th and Sunset Gardens in Southwest Albuquerque.

When officers arrived they found a male with at least one gunshot wound to the torso. The male was treated at the scene and transported to University of New Mexico Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

The area of 86th and Sunset Gardens is being shut down restricting vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area. This is so investigators can piece together what happened at the scene.
