Albuquerque –
Today at around 4:00 PM , law enforcement and emergency responders were called to a shooting near the 9500 block of Endee Rd NW, which is at the Sundoro South Park.
Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered a deceased male victim with gunshot wounds lying behind a white Chevy Camaro, which was parked in the parking lot of the park. The victim was beyond help and was not transported to a hospital.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing someone firing a handgun and possibly a rifle at the victim. Witnesses stated that numerous bullet impacts were lodged into nearby homes and vehicles. The offender or offenders fled the scene; the exact offender vehicle model is unknown.

While on scene, we observed a white Chevy Camaro without a license plate, but it had a U.S. Army Combat Infantry license plate holder. The victim was behind the vehicle. Witnesses told us they heard 6-10 gunshots coming from the park.
Homicide Detectives are taking over the investigation, and the park is currently closed during the ongoing investigation and no one is in custody.
As the year comes to an end this is the 147th homicide of 2023.
