Shootout at Allsup’s Leaves at Least Two Wounded

Albuquerque –

At approximately 7:00 PM, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the Allsup’s located at 9501 Gibson Blvd. SW.

Upon arrival, officers found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim had been shot in the leg, and an officer applied a tourniquet to the wound.

Multiple fire and rescue agencies responded including Albuquerque Fire Rescue, Bernalillo County Fire Rescue, and Albuquerque Ambulance. Both victims were transported to a local hospital as a “scoop and run,” which typically indicates life-threatening injuries.

It is unknown if anyone was taken into custody.

According to a witness at Allsup’s, APD is reportedly searching for another person who may have been injured in this incident.

Officers are currently blocking off streets in the area while they conduct their investigation.
