Shots Fired During Suspects and APD Interaction in SW Albuquerque

Earlier this evening, APD officers were looking for some suspects when they encountered them. Shots were fired during the incident and they fled. Officers are searching for individuals who may have been involved and fled the area. It is unclear who fired at each other.

According to APD civilian spokesman Gilbert Gallegos, the Multi-Agency Task Force is responding to an on-going incident that involved shots fired during an encounter between APD officers and individuals in the 700 block of 59th St., N.W., between Fortuna Rd. and Glenrio Rd., east of Coors Blvd.

We will update the story if and when more information becomes available.
