The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Pink Backpack Bandit, who robbed the Bank of Albuquerque, 8221 Wyoming Blvd NE, at approximately 11:17 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Suspect’s description:
Sex: Male
Race: White/Hispanic
Height: Approximately 6’0”
Age: 30s
Clothing: Purple, Black & White Lakers Jacket; grey pants
The suspect entered the bank, brandished a silver handgun and made verbal demands for money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank heading north. The suspect is also wearing a ball-cap with a logo and gloves.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
