Albuquerque –
Albuquerque Police are investigating a stabbing that took place in the 900 block of Pacific Ave SW, near 9th St and Pacific Ave. At 12:50 PM on May 2nd, officers from APD and emergency personnel from Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the scene after receiving a report of a person who had been stabbed at least once.
Emergency crews transported the victim to the University of New Mexico Hospital for evaluation and medical treatment.
APD officers are actively collecting evidence in the area around 9th St and Pacific Ave, and the nearby park.
In 2025, there have been two homicide investigations in this vicinity. The first was on March 12 in the 700 block of 7th St SW. The second was on April 2 near the Barelas Community Center at 8th St SW and Atlantic Ave SW.
