Stubborn Man Flees From Police Only to Give Up in War Zone

Albuquerque –

We caught the tail end of a pursuit through northeast Albuquerque earlier this afternoon. The pursuit started after officers wanted to speak to a man for allegedly threatening another man with a knife.  When officers attempted to talk to the suspect he fled.

Air support made an appearance and tracked the suspect throughout NE Albuquerque. Eventually, the man thought no-one was pursuing him and pulled over at a home on Virginia NE in the War Zone.  Once the man stopped, he fled from the car on foot and barricaded inside a home.

Officers from the northeast and southeast commands surrounded the home immediately and made any further escape for the suspect impossible.  Eventually the man got bored inside or had a moment of common sense and he gave up peacefully.  The man will most likely be booked into MDC for at the very least Aggravated Fleeing from Law Enforcement.
