APD was able to deploy a GPS device to follow the car at a safe distance and was able to locate it abandoned near 1200 Dickerson SE. The driver had ditched the vehicle and tried to blend into the neighborhood but curious witnesses and officers noticed him appearing out of place.

He was quickly taken into custody and the initial officer from the traffic stop identified the suspect. He was searched and officers inventoried a bunch of change from his pockets.

The offender was taken to the Prisoner Transport Center on charges of aggravated fleeing from law enforcement.
