APD’s Fatal Crash unit is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of a woman who was a passenger on a motorcycle.
Officers responded shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, to a crash reported in the area of Menaul Blvd. and San Pedro Dr., N.E.

A black, lifted four-door truck with chrome rims that light up blue and a white Zia symbol on the back window struck the motorcycle and fled from the intersection south on San Pedro.
The motorcycle driver and passenger were transported to the hospital. The passenger later died from her injuries.
The Fatal Crash Unit responded to the scene to investigate. Through their investigation it was discovered that a black motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Menaul in the far right lane.
The offender truck was also traveling eastbound in the lane just left of the motorcycle. The truck appeared to merge into the right lane striking the motorcycle.
The truck then ruthlessly ran over the motorcycle and riders. The truck turned onto San Pedro going south in the northbound lanes without a care in the world. The truck was last seen fleeing south from the scene without any attempts to render aid or check on the motorcycle riders.
Police ask you to call them if you see the truck that is described in this story.
