At 9:49 PM on April 30, Albuquerque Fire Rescue units were dispatched to 530 Utah SE for reports of a mobile home fire. While crews were en route, dispatchers received multiple calls reporting several mobile homes burning and possible occupants trapped, prompting an upgrade to a full first-alarm assignment.

Medic 5 arrived to find two mobile homes with heavy fire showing and reported a working fire with a potential rescue. Crews from Medic 5 and Ladder 5 conducted primary searches of both homes, while Engine 5 deployed two 1¾-inch handlines for fire attack. Battalion 2 assumed command upon arrival.

The fire was brought under control within 19 minutes. Searches by AFR crews found no victims.

A total of 18 apparatus and 43 firefighters responded. Six people were displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. Fire investigators remained on scene to determine the cause.
