Venezuelan Man Kidnaps and Rapes 13-Year-Old, Arrested in Albuquerque

The New Mexico State Police arrested Venezuelan born 34-year-old Ruben Dario Gonzalez in Albuquerque, New Mexico on charges of kidnapping and criminal sexual contact of a minor under 13-years-old.

The NMSP criminal complaint is vague about exactly how everything transpired but, it mentions that around February 14th, Gonzalez’s was in contact with the minor and held her against her will. It states that forced sexual acts were committed by Gonzalez upon the young victim.

Gonzalez’s case is being transferred to District Court, where they will determine if he should be held until trial. It is unclear what his immigration status is, as the booking documents did not have additional details to indicate U.S. citizenship.
