The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a death at the Somerset Park Apartment Complex located at 1201 Madeira Dr. SE.

On the morning of June 3, 2026, officers were dispatched to the listed address in response to a welfare check request. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Neighbors have sent photos showing that Ortiz Dr is closed between Ross Ave and Eastern Ave and Madeira Dr is also closed between Ross Ave and Eastern Ave.
A homicide investigation has been launched, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
