In the early hours of October 31st, at around 12:40 AM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue received an urgent call about a potential fire at 2400 Central Ave SE. Engine 3 hurried to the scene, which happened to be behind the Frontier Restaurant. They found a large, uncontrollable outdoor fire which was dangerously close to a medium-sized one-story building. Quickly, Engine 3 categorized it as a “working fire” and sprung into action, working to extinguish the flames and prevent their spread to nearby buildings.

Thankfully, they managed to bring the fire under control within just 20 minutes of their arrival. The damage was contained to the exterior of the back of the building, sparing the inside from harm. Even more fortunately, no injuries were reported among civilians or the brave firefighters who responded to the scene.
There were no witnesses who could shed light on how the outdoor fire began. At present, no further information is available, leaving the cause of the fire shrouded in mystery.
