APD, AFR Respond to Crash Near Juan Tabo Post Office; Person Hospitalized

Albuquerque –

Just after 9:15 AM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and first responders from Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched to a crash next to the United States Post Office located at 11600 Haines Ave NE, which off Juan Tabo and Haines. AFR’s Engine 9 and Rescue were sent. The call was initially dispatched as a vehicle vs pedestrian crash.

However, when APD and AFR arrived, they found one person who was hit by a vehicle. But the person hit, apparently had their own vehicle. APD is presently investigating how exactly the collision happened.

AFR’s Rescue 9 transported the injured person to the University of New Mexico Hospital where they are being evaluated for their injuries.
