Albuquerque –
Media outlets received an email from the Albuquerque Police Department on August 9th, 2024 touting they are conducting a survey:
The Albuquerque Police Department is working to bring neighborhoods together across the city, in an effort to increase community safety.
The survey was out less than a week and has been suspiciously closed. APD used Survey Monkey, a popular website that allows individuals and entities to create their own survey to get results to questions. It is unclear if APD bought a plan that would allow 100,000 responses to a survey at $75.00 a month. The website link offered by the city stated to the end users to contact the author of the survey for further assistance.
The survey asked questions regarding a person’s willingness and ability to participate in community meetings and, if not, what is the best way to engage with them.
In the release there is a quote from APD Chief Harold Medina stating that he wants honest communication.
“I want to be honest about where we are, and how the community views our department and safety within the city, said Chief Harold Medina. “We have come a long way to improve and better our agency, but we know we have to continue building trust each day and the work is never done.”
The link to the survey could be found here. The survey was be open through September 6 and it is unclear when it was closed.
We reached out to APD to see if they would turn the survey back on or have another link available for citizens.

Typical! They probably got too many negative comments and knew it wouldn’t get any better.
¡Can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen..SAVAGES..ROGUE MENTALITY!
Typical – Most likely Medina wanted to hear how good he was doing for the community and found that no one cared for his self serving arrogant ass. There is no trust in this whole administration sadly.
