APD Investigate Stabbing in NE Albuquerque

Albuquerque –

Around 11:35 AM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a stabbing in the 140 block of Truman St NE. A caller advised a person had been stabbed in the neck and chest.

Upon arrival, officers detained at least one person for questioning in connection with the incident.

APD officers also located one victim with multiple stab wounds. The person was believed to have been transported to a local hospital by Albuquerque Fire Rescue and Albuquerque Ambulance. The victim is reportedly in stable condition.

Officers have blocked Truman between Copper and Central as detectives and crime scene investigators document and process the area for evidence.

While on scene, we learned that the stabbing was reportedly tied to a domestic altercation.
