The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred late Friday in Northeast Albuquerque. According to APD, the incident resulted in the death of a female victim. 

Approximately 7:30 PM, APD officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle versus a pedestrian in the vicinity of Comanche Rd. NE and Wellesley Dr. NE.

An unidentified female was discovered dead in the eastbound lane of Comanche Road. A resident living nearby reported to police hearing the screeching of vehicle tires and subsequently observed the female lying in the roadway.

As of this publication, there is no information available regarding the vehicle or driver responsible for leaving the scene.
