APD Involved in Shooting in Foothills

Albuquerque –

There is a heavy police presence in the area of Menaul and Landman Dr NE, where the Albuquerque Police Department was involved in an officer involved shooting.

All officers are reported to be unharmed from the incident. It is unclear the condition of the suspect. We will update when we hear official word of the suspect.

The Multi-Agency Task Force (MATF) is en route to the scene to investigate the officer-involved shooting. Drivers and residents living in the vicinity may notice that Menaul Blvd NE is closed between Chelwood Park Blvd and Tramway Blvd due to an ongoing police investigation.

Details are limited at this time. This is the 11th officer-involved shooting that APD has been involved in during 2025.

We have a reporter on scene and they observed the suspect is dead on scene.
