Albuquerque – Around 3:45AM, we were alerted by the Albuquerque Police Department’s sworn graveyard PIO Chase Jewell about a vehicle versus semi-truck crash in the area of Coors Blvd NW and Sequoia Rd NW. Reportedly, APD Officers responded to the area around 3am, but when APD arrived, they found one individual who had already died as a result of their injuries.
The Albuquerque Police Department’s Motors Unit has launched a fatal crash investigation.
When we received the email from Ofc Jewell at 3:45AM, southbound and northbound Coors BL NW was blocked off between St. Josephs DR NW and Sequoia RD NW.
We recieved an updated email at 6:20AM, which said “Currently, southbound Coors BL at St. Joseph AV NW has been restored. One lane is closed until debris from the crash is cleaned up. Northbound will remain closed at this time. “
