APD Police Unit Involved in Serious Crash in War Zone

Albuquerque –

Around 4:40 PM, a crash near Louisiana Blvd SE and Bell Ave SE was reported. At least two vehicles are involved including an Albuquerque Police Department cruiser.

Two APD officers were taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital, and a female driver of another vehicle was also taken to UNMH. The condition of the APD officers is not known. The female driver reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The area will be blocked as APD investigates this crash. Louisiana is closed between Trumbull and Zuni.

Around 6:25 PM, north and southbound Louisiana at Bell was purportedly reopened.
