In a recent email update, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Schlattman family, shared details regarding the visitation and memorial services honoring Sergeant Michael Schlattman. BCSO stated they “are grateful for the overwhelming support and compassion being shown to the family and to our agency during this heartbreaking time.“
Public Viewing and Visitation
- Sunday, March 1, 2026 | 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Daniels Family Funerals & Cremation – Sara Rd Chapel, located at 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124
Members of the public are welcome to attend and pay respects.
Law Enforcement Procession
- Monday, March 2, 2026 | 9:15 a.m.
A formal law enforcement procession will begin at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home and travel to the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Funeral/Memorial Service
- Monday, March 2, 2026 | 10:00 a.m.
Rio Rancho Events Center, located at 3001 Civic Center Cir NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144
Doors to the Events Center will open one hour prior to the service.
In their email release, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office stated that as the community prepares to honor Sgt. Schlattman, they also acknowledge the added significance of the Funeral/Memorial date, noting that March 2 would have marked Sgt. Schlattman’s 53rd birthday, and asked their partners and our community to keep his family especially close in their thoughts and prayers.
