The Albuquerque Police Department’s Motor Unit has been called to investigate this fatal crash.

If we learn more, we will update you.

In recent weeks, the Albuquerque Police Department has not consistently notified media outlets (or this media outlet) of fatal traffic crashes or the subsequent investigations. Additionally, the plug being pulled of the PulsePoint app has made it more difficult to track and report on crashes throughout the metro area.

Additionally, we have reached out to APD about on crash investigation on Interstate 40, which happened on Sunday, May 11th around 12:30 AM, and have not received a reply back. We did reach out to the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) to see if they handled this crash, and they answered our request for information.

Last week, we again inquired to Albuquerque Fire Rescue about a replacement to PulsePoint, but there are no firm plans for a replacement as of this publication.

It is an election year and information will be sparse with an incumbent administration.
