A vehicle struck and killed off-duty APD Officer Bianca Quintana around 12:45 AM on August 14, 2024, near the intersection of Coors and Chapulin Road Southwest.

As the investigation progresses, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office investigators now believe a Volkswagen vehicle is involved in the incident. However, the specific details regarding the year, model, and color of the vehicle are still under investigation. BCSO is actively reviewing all available evidence to determine the exact vehicle involved.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the community for assistance. We urge anyone with video footage from Coors Blvd, south of Rio Bravo, to review their surveillance systems and report any findings that may aid in the investigation.
