Albuquerque –
Homicide detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department are beginning to look into a deadly shooting that happened around Dallas St., between Domingo Rd. and Copper Ave. A ShotSpotter alert signaled gunfire in the 300 block of Pennsylvania St NE, likely linked to this event. APD officers are now investigating the entire block.
The person who was shot was taken to a local hospital, but they died as a result of their injuries.
We have reporters headed to the scene to gather more information.
This is the 18th homicide in the Albuquerque metro area for 2024. When we last checked, the Office of the Medical Investigator was still reviewing three other deaths labeled as “suspicious.”
