Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting at 1333 Columbia Dr. SE. Numerous shots were fired at the complex at around 11:00 PM, on Friday, March 7th, 2025. One person was killed and one person was wounded.
A resident of the complex contacted us and said they were told by officers on scene that the shooter supposedly fled after the violence. However, this same person claimed to have seen at least one body being removed in a body bag. A separate resident told us they saw someone taken away in an ambulance with unknown injuries.
While on scene we observed at least 30 evidence markers showing where casings landed, which means at least 30 rounds were fired. We also observed crime scene technicians taping up a few cars in the parking lot of the complex. This seemed like a complex crime scene as most homicide scenes take 7 hours to investigate. This one was well into 12 hours of being investigated.
This complex has a history of police activity. On January 4, 2025, a SWAT team responded to a domestic disturbance at the location. In that incident, a man allegedly threatened to kill a woman and her son.

UPDATE:
APD sent a press release around 3:35 PM stating this shooting is being investigated as a justifiable homicide.
The release says:
APD detectives are investigating an overnight shoot-out between two individuals that resulted in the death of one of the men.
Officers with APD’s University Area Command responded to reports of a shooting Friday just before 11 p.m. at 1333 Columbia Dr., S.E. An adult male was located inside a vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound. He was determined to be deceased at the scene.
A second adult male was located with several gunshot wounds. That man was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive his wounds.
Homicide detectives interviewed several witnesses as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The preliminary investigation suggests a justifiable homicide, but detectives are exploring all evidence.
War Zone West…it’s growing like a cancer. Two violent crimes in the same neighborhood just hours apart. What do they have in common? Low income housing and hardcore drug abuse. Ain’t saying….
That’s part of the war zone. It’s always ran down to the freeway. It’s the whole quadrant it technically ends in the stixs and goes to Hayes Ms all the way to western sky’s.
Mijo was only on his 12th parole? A tent city prison is needed. You do the same for drug rehab and “mental health” since they lazy dems enable it. The success is that THEY stay there and earn their way back into society. But the dems, they love to throw money at a problem, make profit to line their pockets, then demand more tax money, to increase crime. Abysmal education is no excuse for crime. Raise their standards, don’t lower them.

Eliminate the homies in this state and the crime goes away. Very simple. Of course Gomer Medina and Dreamy Mayor Timmy don’t know or want that, so it’ll continue perpetually.
