Pedestrian Killed in Possible Hit and Run in NE ABQ

Albuquerque –

On February 3, 2026 at around 4:30a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 925 San Pedro Dr NE, in reference to a possible vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.  The pedestrian was transported and died later at the hospital.  The Fatal Crash Unit responded to the scene to investigate.

Through the investigation it was discovered that ACS received a call in reference to an individual needing assistance. ACS came by the location and found a male laying on the ground in the parking lot with injuries.  

The male spoke with the ACS Responders on scene and stated that he was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot.  The male was transported to the hospital for a fractured ankle and bleeding from the head.  He died shortly after arriving at the hospital.  The Fatal Crash Unit is currently investigating the crash.

APD did not provide any information on a possible suspect vehicle.
