Albuquerque –
Shortly before 4 a.m, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were called about a shooting at the Sun Pointe Park Apartments. This complex is located at 4057 Montgomery Blvd NE. The shooting victim, an 18-year-old male, was located at the apartment complex. Rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but he died at the scene.
APD Homicide Detectives were called out to start an investigation.
APD did not state if an offender was taken into custody.
When more information becomes available, we will update you. This is the 60th homicide for the Albuquerque Metro area for 2025. It is the fourth homicide investigation for the month of July.
