On Tuesday, March 11, at 6:50 PM, a 911 caller reported a shooting near 57th St NW and Central Ave NW, close to Albuquerque Fire Rescue’s Station 7. The call also revealed that a woman had been shot and she was in full cardiac arrest. As officers responded, they learned she was already outside Station 7, receiving medical care from AFR.

Upon arrival, Albuquerque Police officers found the woman, who had been shot. AFR provided treatment before Rescue 7 transported her to UNMH, where she died. This is the third homicide today.

APD is actively searching for the suspect.

We will provide updates as soon as more details emerge regarding the woman’s condition or the suspect’s apprehension.

UPDATE:

APD arrested Noe Vega, 21, for the murder of the woman. APD requested that the media not name the woman, as they were still attempting to reach her next of kin. You can read more by clicking the link below.
