Holiday Toy and Food Drive Brings Joy to Hundreds in Bernalillo County

Albuquerque –

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is spreading holiday cheer today, December 12, during their annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive at the BCSO/BCFD Training Academy.

BCSO employees, which included deputies, detectives, and administrative personnel, came together to wrap presents and assemble food boxes for 300 children, supporting over 100 families in need this holiday season. The initiative is part of a larger effort in collaboration with U.S. United’s Holiday Spectacular program, generously funded and sponsored by Kroger Foods.

Thanks to partnerships with Kroger, U.S. United, and contributions from U-Haul, Walmart, and Costco, the drive was a resounding success. Food and monetary donations were made by Kroger and U.S. United. BCSO is preparing for the next step—delivering the food boxes and toys to families this week.

BCSO expressed its gratitude to all sponsors and volunteers for their generosity, ensuring that families in Bernalillo County experience the magic of the holiday season.
