Multi-Vehicle Crash With Overturned Vehicle Reported in SE ABQ

Albuquerque –

Around 3:50 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched to a multi vehicle car crash at Buena Vista Dr SE and Avenida Cesar Chavez SE. One vehicle is reportedly overturned.

Despite the initial reports of the crash sounding serious, no one purportedly sustained serious or life threatening injuries. At least two people were taken to a local area hospital for further medical attention.

Police are looking into several ShotSpotter activations that occurred around the time of the crash to determine whether they’re somehow related to or what caused the crash. APD officers and crime scene investigators are examining a scene at Bell Ave SE and Buena Vista Dr SE that may be connected to the reported shots fired and the collision.
