Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting after a victim was found in the 620 block of Charleston St SE just before 3:25 PM. Officers are working to establish the exact location where the shooting occurred.
APD officers from the Southeast Area Command arrived and rendered medical aid to a male who had been shot twice in the abdomen. Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the Albuquerque Ambulance Service transported the victim to a local hospital. His exact condition is unknown.
Officers are talking with witnesses and has detained an individual for questioning.
APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit has been called in to investigate. We will keep you updated if more information is released about this shooting incident.
