Crash Kills Bicyclist on Route 66

Albuquerque –

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the area of Central Ave SE and San Pedro Dr. SE. Officers were called to the area around 8AM. Witnesses reported seeing a Camaro strike a bicyclist. When officers arrived, they determined the bicyclist was deceased.

We arrived on scene and observed a bicycle with belongings on the sidewalk, a white sheet covering the body, and a black Camaro with heavy windshield damage on the passenger side.

APD’s Motors Unit will be investigating the crash.
